I heard it on my last techno rave party...
Yesterday I was visiting Berlin, where my buddy Josh took me to a rave in the catacombs of Berlin Kreuzberg. No Berlin boiler room, no Hipsters...real scene people. The party was in the basement in an old building. The basement was probably an old bunker. It was huge and it was loud. An old projector and two lasers provide atmosphere. Oh yeah, and there was a fogger too!
My buddy was gone after he met a girl. The music was not like in most Berlin clubs. They played raw house techno sound. I have never heard the sound in the States. The DJs were all artists from Kreuzberg. Guys just following their own dreams. They played on old Pioneer CDJs and old Drum Machines and Keyboards. I have not danced for so long time, as on this night. Mental Office by Tim Rilies was the banger of the night!!! After the crazy set of the Kreuzberg DJ I had to ask him where the track is from. He said Qentaro Records Germany!!! It is an independent label from Frankfurt am Main. Another banger on this comilation was Deep Hero by Sam Aniken. This compilation has now made it to my party mood playlist.
